Arroyo reshuffles DoTC execs
MANILA, Philippines — President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has reshuffled key officials of the Department of Transportation and Communications (DoTC), Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita said Monday.
The President named retired police general Reynaldo Berroya the general manager of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT), replacing Roberto Lastimoso, Ermita said.
Ermita did not say if Lastimoso would be given a new post.
Former national police chief Arturo Lomibao was named head of the Land Transportation Office (LTO), replacing Alberto Suansing, who was named chief of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Ermita said.
Former LTFRB chairman Thompson Lantion was named DoTC undersecretary, Ermita said.
